Dr. Aleta Woods, a South Carolina native, is a highly experienced professional in the field of special education and applied behavior analysis. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Generic Special Education from Columbia College, followed by a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of South Carolina. She later obtained a second Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Southern Illinois University and completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University in 2022.

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2007, Dr. Woods has dedicated her career to supporting children and adolescents with disabilities. Her extensive experience includes roles as a special education teacher, educational specialist, autism evaluator, applied behavior analyst, special education consultant, and parent/teacher trainer.

After spending seven years as a private consultant in Rockford, Illinois, Dr. Woods returned to Greenville, South Carolina, in 2013. She serves as a special education consultant for public and private schools across the Upstate, specializing in complex behavior support, program development, and staff/teacher training. Her passion lies in working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, emotional disabilities, and developmental delays, particularly those with complex medical and behavioral needs.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Woods is a dedicated mother of four children, ages 12–19. She enjoys traveling, gardening, wake surfing, and capturing her family’s adventures through scrapbooking.
